‘Millionaires Island’ by Priya Kumar is a book that revolves around Ronnie who is on his way to Mexico for an assignment. On his way to the airport, he is contemplating on several things like how he has led his life so far, how his parents have done so much for him and are proud about him. However, there is something which he is not satisfied about and that he feels like he has the potential to achieve everything but so far, he is being led to do things that no one wants to do. As he reaches and takes a seat in his economy class a person comes and asks him if he can exchange his seat with him which is there in the First-Class Section. Ronnie finds it difficult to digest this information but apparently says yes as he really wants to experience the life of a person who is rich and achieved something. As he moves on to his First-Class Section, he meets Mr. Anderson whom he finds a bit weird at first but soon he finds out about his Millionaire Program and starts thinking of this as an opportunity to do something great and give it a go in his life. Soon, he starts approaching Mr. Anderson about the program and tries to convince him about how this program is meant for him. However, Mr. Anderson tries to avoid him or rather makes it look like that. But later on, he gives in and talks to Ronnie and tells him about his conditions of getting admitted to the Program. Ronnie finds it a little suspicious after reading these conditions but something is pulling him towards Mr. Anderson and this program and he readily accepts all the conditions. What happens after this is an interesting journey of how Ronnie goes about this Program and how we all have Ronnie inside us it’s just a matter of us pushing ourselves and getting into that uncomfortable zone to make things happens. To know more about Ronnie and his journey read ‘Millionaires Island’
My Thoughts:
This book was really inspiring. At times we are waiting for opportunities to come but how many of us are really keen of coming out of our comfort zone and taking the next step. Through this story we get to see how Ronnie got an opportunity to succeed but that opportunity also came with a lot of conditions which a normal person would not have agreed to. When Ronnie was selected for the Millionaire Program he was put under so many challenges and he was a little unsure at first. However, there was something at the back of his mind that just wasn’t allowing to back out of these situations and there was an urge to learn something new through this process.
The characters are well written and so relatable. We get to see all sort of characters which we get to meet in real life. Some, are negative and try to pull people down. While some others are very cold. Ronnie is someone who has been listening to people all his life and people could easily force him to do work which they didn’t want to do. This program really taught him to do what he feels and thinks is the best for him.
Overall, this was really a inspiring read.

Millionaire’s Island is a self-help book disguised as a fictional tale. It tells the story of Ronnie, a young man who is dissatisfied with his life and feels like he is not living up to his full potential. One day, he meets a billionaire named Mr. Anderson, who invites him to participate in a program called the Breeding Millionaires. The program is designed to help people discover their true potential and achieve their dreams of financial success.
Ronnie is hesitant at first, but he eventually decides to take the plunge. He travels to Millionaire’s Island, where he meets other participants from all walks of life. Together, they go through a series of challenges and exercises that help them to learn more about themselves and their goals.
Over the course of the program, Ronnie undergoes a significant transformation. He learns to let go of his fears and doubts, and he starts to believe in himself and his abilities. He also develops a deeper understanding of what it means to be successful.
In the end, Ronnie graduates from the program and achieves his dream of becoming a millionaire. However, he also realizes that money is not the most important thing in life. The real prize is the self-discovery and personal growth that he experienced along the way.

“Millionaire’s Island” by Priya Kumar initially deceived me as a purely fictional piece. However, as I delved deeper into its pages, I soon discovered it to be a fascinating blend of self-help and fiction.
The story revolves around Ronnie, a character who embarks on a journey to Mexico to complete his assignment. Despite having accomplished numerous feats, Ronnie grapples with a feeling of incompleteness. This enigma sets the stage for the mysterious “Millionaire Programme” introduced by the intriguing Mr. Anderson.
As the tale unfolds, Ronnie’s acceptance of the conditions of the Millionaire Programme leads him on an introspective journey. The book serves as a mirror, encouraging readers ( especially me ) to reflect on their life choices. It compellingly illustrates Ronnie’s perception of having achieved everything yet nothing.
The author has crafted the characters with depth and authenticity. Ronnie’s internal struggle and transformation are portrayed vividly, making the readers resonate with his emotions and experiences. The plotline is engaging, keeping the readers hooked as they anticipate the next twist and turn.
This book imparts valuable life lessons. It subtly educated me about ambition, purpose, and the pursuit of true success. The book challenged my outlook on life, leaving me with insights I will cherish forever.
This book is more than just a captivating fictional narrative. Priya Kumar has skillfully amalgamated storytelling with profound life lessons, making this book a worthy read for anyone seeking both entertainment and enlightenment.

The book “Millionaire’s Island” is an excellent read by Priya Kumar. Reading the title made me believe that it’s a non fiction self help book, but it is indeed a story filled with motivation in the form of its protagonist Ronnie. I have always loved reading Priya Kumar and how she portrays the real life concepts in her books. Ronnie is just like you and me, a regular guy who constantly questions his own worth but has big dreams and aspirations. He is scared to take big steps in life just like we are but gathers the courage to change the course of his life in the mere time frame of six hours. This makes one believe that the power of manifestation is something that really works. If you really want something, the universe will help you reach your goal. That a small instance can be a huge life changing moment. I really like a particular line by one of the characters which is “No matter how big one may become, sleeping under the stars reminds one of his place in the universe”. This line by the author reminds one to be humble no matter at what stage we are in life.
Also, I like the fact how Ronnie decides to not let people like Lionel, Jo, etc. overpower his goal and deviate him from the path he has chosen. These people seem to him like the obstacles in life one has in the pathway to achieve one’s goals. One needs to overcome these obstacles and move ahead and be focused on their goals.
The book also shows the importance of journaling one’s thoughts and reflecting upon one’s wants and desires using the workbook and the playbook. This gives a clear perspective, a clear set pathway for one to follow, which eventually happened for the protagonist and led the course of his life of becoming a millionaire.
Another line that is etched in my mind is “when people are given the freedom to do as they please with their life without external interference, whether positive or negative, they usually make responsible decisions.” As we see in Ronnie’s life how he is overpowered by his colleagues at work in the beginning, is affected by his own self doubts and is affected by the way others treat him, this doesn’t let him lead to greatness and hinders his personal as well as professional growth. But when he starts overcoming such hindrances like Lionel or Jo or George on the island, he begins to achieve his goals, though slowly and steadily but he does.
Overall the book is a real motivation for working towards one’s goals. It helps one understand the power of self belief, self introspection and a positive outlook in life in tackling the obstacles and achieving one’s dreams.

“In ‘The Millionaire’s Island,’ moments of unexpected motivation are scattered throughout the book, creating a natural and engaging flow.
This is my first Priya Kumar book and my excitement as a first-time reader of her work was palpable.
The book is a self help mixed with good old fiction. As a devoted fiction reader, this is an essential aspect for my reading pleasure. This was the primary reason that I picked up this book.
The narrative follows Roonie, a character at the depths of despair, who stumbles upon the exclusive ‘Millionaire Island’, which with its certain conditions, can help anyone join the Millionare club.
The book delivers a profound lesson ,the quintessential importance of stepping out of the comfort zone.
The prose, while straightforward, occasionally leans towards predictability, slightly affecting the pacing. However, the book’s message on the significance of pushing boundaries shines through.
One particular quote resonated deeply with me as I progressed through the book: –
“Just when I had thought that my training and my task were over, the truth was that my training and my purpose had just begun.”
Priya Kumar, an author with an impressive body of work, has penned seven other books. After this engaging read, I am eager to explore more of her writings.
Almost forgot to mention, its only noteworthy to mention the impeccable paper quality that enhanced my reading experience. Neither too thick nor too thin, it made the book a perfect bedside companion.
In conclusion, ‘The Millionaire’s Island’ is a captivating blend of storytelling and motivation, reminding readers to embrace challenges and step out of their comfort zones. If you’re seeking a thought-provoking read with a touch of inspiration, this book is a worthy addition to your reading list.
Happy Reading!

Life throws curve ball’s at you, how you deal and tackle with them is what this book walks us through. Quiet often we get caught up in life’s twists and turns, that we forget why we got started in the first place, Millionaires Island is that book that will help you learn and realise without teaching, all the way while it offers insights and introspection, both within and around us.
This book is an account of the lessons Ronnie learns and unlearns while being presented with an opportunity to turn his life around while on a plane to Mexico.
Like they say, we don’t choose books, books choose us, this also came to me at a time while I was personally exploring and experiencing the different lessons Ronnie experiences in the book, the Power of acceptance, Forgiveness, and of Knowledge.
Book Recommendation: Must read!! Grap a copy asap.

I am not a huge fan of self help fiction unless it revolves around some characters and the learning is hidden in their journey.
This book is a self help one which I liked reading because it blends with a plot which makes it interesting to read. So my take is not just the content matter but the way it has been presented.
The journey of Ronnie who has the mix feelings of achieving a lot yet not feeling full, I believe all what we achieve and heading towards is the key path where it leads us to the final destination where we ‘learn’ what we actually want in life and what gives us the real kick.
Trust me the journey of this realisation requires a lot of patience as we can never predict in an absolute way, never have a absolute assurance and life has its own ways of keeping us grounded and giving us new things to learn.
The concept of the protagonist experience the turn in his life was interesting. We meet people for a reason, not even a single person we meet is without any reason, we meet we learn and we get closer to what we actually thrive for.
It’s overall a good read.
